I am a Turkish-Dutch engineer living in the Netherlands, a proud father of two cheerful daughters and husband to a fellow engineer. For over 25 years, I have embraced endurance sports like long-distance running and swimming. My journey includes completing six full marathons, countless half-marathons, and swimming across the Dardanelles from Europe to Asia, as well as the Bosphorus from Asia to Europe several times.

My passion for alpine skiing began in 2014 when I was a visiting engineer at the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. I was 34 years old and instantly fell in love with the sport. The sensation of gliding on snow, like soaring through clouds with breathtaking mountain ranges and forests below, captivated me. Skiing, when approached with proper training and care, is both exhilarating and remarkably safe. Over the years, I’ve skied extensively in France, Switzerland, Austria, and, of course, Türkiye, with countless trips to the slopes. Gradually, winter breaks became my favorite, surpassing even Mediterranean summer vacations.

Now, at almost 45, my skills have evolved from a novice snow-plower to a confident all-slope carver. My love for skiing has only grown, inspiring me to share this passion with others. This is why I co-founded SaquraExplore with my colleagues, making the Sarıkamış Excursion our inaugural project.

With all my heart, I invite you to join this adventure. I’ll be there personally, ready to experience the magic of Sarıkamış together with our guests.
