Evrim Onur ARI
I am a Turkish-Dutch engineer living in the Netherlands, a proud father of two cheerful daughters and husband to a fellow engineer. For over 25 years, I have embraced endurance sports like long-distance running and swimming. My journey includes completing six full marathons, countless half-marathons, and swimming across the Dardanelles from Europe to Asia, as well as the Bosphorus from Asia to Europe several times.
My passion for alpine skiing began in 2014 when I was a visiting engineer at the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. I was 34 years old and instantly fell in love with the sport. The sensation of gliding on snow, like soaring through clouds with breathtaking mountain ranges and forests below, captivated me. Skiing, when approached with proper training and care, is both exhilarating and remarkably safe. Over the years, I’ve skied extensively in France, Switzerland, Austria, and, of course, Türkiye, with countless trips to the slopes. Gradually, winter breaks became my favorite, surpassing even Mediterranean summer vacations.
Now, at almost 45, my skills have evolved from a novice snow-plower to a confident all-slope carver. My love for skiing has only grown, inspiring me to share this passion with others. This is why I co-founded SaquraExplore with my colleagues, making the Sarıkamış Excursion our inaugural project.
With all my heart, I invite you to join this adventure. I’ll be there personally, ready to experience the magic of Sarıkamış together with our guests.

My name is Işıl. I was born in Turkey and grew up surrounded by stunning landscapes and a rich cultural heritage that instilled in me a deep appreciation for beauty, nature, and connection. Three years ago, I moved to the Netherlands, a decision that marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my life. Here, I have embraced the culture, the people, and the opportunities to grow and learn in this unique environment.
Professionally, I am a qualified MS-Logopedist (speech and language therapist) with years of experience helping people in the field of communication. While my career has been incredibly fulfilling, my new life in the Netherlands introduced me to new experiences and people, which ultimately landed me as an coordinator in SaquraExplore—a venture that allows me to combine my passions with my love for travel.
I am a nature addict, I find peace and inspiration in nature, whether it’s tending to flowers, wandering through lush landscapes, or simply taking in the tranquility of the outdoors or discovering the underwater. I am a 1* diver and begginer flamenco dancer. Diving lets me explore the serene beauty of the underwater world, while flamenco dancing allows me to express myself through rhythm and movement. Both bring joy and creativity into my life.
Another source of happiness for me is traveling—visiting new places, trying new flavors, and meeting people from all walks of life. I love hearing their stories, connecting with them, and discovering the richness of different cultures.

SaquraExplore is my escape from the daily grind, where I can focus on something completely different: crafting experiences that help travelers connect more deeply with their journeys.
Our mission is to reshape the way people interact with the world, offering thoughtfully curated adventures that infuse each step with a sense of wonder and exploration.

Özüm İTEZ
I am a designer, communications expert, and project manager specializing in architectural publications, editorship, and event management. I hold a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Ankara University (2006) and a master’s degree in urban design from Middle East Technical University (METU) (2009). My academic and professional interests include 19th and 20th-century urbanism, public parks, data visualization, historical GIS, and urban cartography.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I am the co-founder of the instrumental rock band Hayvanlar Alemi. Since our formation in 1999, we have released six LPs and two EPs through renowned labels such as Sublime Frequencies, Glitterbeat, Unrock, and Subsound Records. Furthermore, I am the co-founder and product designer of SoundBrut, a guitar effects company based in Sweden.
At SaquraExplore, I combine my passion, expertise, and enthusiasm in web design, nature, and history to create delightful experiences that we are proud to share with you.
